Car Parking & Village Access
For those wholesalers who do not already have Village Access arrangements at Mt. Buller and have an AWD/4WD vehicle (see below criteria for vehicle suitability), the Mt. Buller RMB have arranged for free of charge Village Access strictly for the loading and unloading of gear. Vehicles must then be returned to the overnight carparks outside the village area as directed. Overnight parking is free of charge for the duration of the SIA Tests.
Vehicles requiring Village access and overnight parking must be advised in advance using the form below.
Bump In, Storage & Setup
Monday 2nd Sept 3-6pm
Tuesday 3rd Sept 7-9am
We will have access to the Bank Of Queensland building for storage and the setup of First Look from 3-6pm on Monday 2nd Sept.
Those unable to arrive in time may wish to bump in and set up on the Tuesday morning from 7am ready for a 9am start.
The floor area inside the BOQ Building will be marked with tape appropriately for the setting up of First Look stands.
Skis, snowboards, bindings & tools can be stored inside the BOQ Building in an area that will be designated for storage while tents, star pickets, banners, and other less valuable equipment are to be stored outside as we may be tight on space.
Lloyd will be onsite to direct storage and setup.
Lift Tickets
Lift tickets are not required for access to the demo site. Tickets will be restricted to On-Snow Exhibitors with a limit of two FOC lift tickets per exhibiting company for those who do not already have a Mt. Buller Season Membership.
Please indicate on the attached form if you require a lift ticket and for whom.
Industry Ride Session
For those interested, there will be an industry ride session leaving the On-Snow Test area at 3pm running until last ride is called.
Function
Buller Ski Lifts will be co-hosting drinks and canapés on the Tuesday night at Ski Club Of Victoria (The Whitt) from 6 till 8pm in Dump Inn. Drink tickets will be handed out by the SIA Office during the Tuesday Demo Day. Please list all staff names on the attached spreadsheet for catering purposes.
What vehicle requirements are there?
- 4WD/AWD vehicle
- A minimum ground clearance of 185mm is required plus:
- be able to be fitted with wheel chains;
- carrying appropriately sized, diamond wheel chains (wheel socks not permitted);
- Tyres suitable for use in snowy and icy conditions experienced in extreme alpine environments are required.
- Trailers are not permitted to enter the Village without prior approval from Resort Management.
